Words of Radiance! TOR was like, "wtf bro, we didn't think this would happen, but please, no more pages"

Three words, Radiant: "Journey before destination."

Adolin's duel alone adds some serious weight to best book vote for me. That's the arc that took me from, "okay, he's a good dude," to "OH, ADOLIN IS HIMOTHY."

Hell yeah! I'm jealous - if I could wipe my memory and read it for the first time again, I would 😅

Hope you enjoy it!

Note: I would recommend staying FAR away from the Cosmere sub or The Coppermind/WoB websites until you're pretty well into the books. Some spoilers are absolutely insane 😭

Mistborn is an excellent showcase of Cosmere elements and not nearly as long as Stormlight Archive.

Highly recommend Mistborn: The Final Empire! I think Elantris is a tougher entry point, but besides that, the publication order is pretty great.

Very very true 😅 I guess he did show plenty of signs of sadism, and may have enjoyed the challenge of controlling them (considering he'd never imagine them as real threats - the arrogance lol)

Definitely! Gavilar's shadow cast over him constantly, and the monster actively encouraged his bloodlust/violent tendencies.

Dalinar was definitely still flawed af on his own, but I believe he lost yeeeeears of potential to Gavilar's mind games.

I think he hated Amaran because they were the same kind of person, though? I doubt a power hungry manipulator of his level could ever cope with someone just like him being in near orbit lol

What a nauseating dude 😬 we knew he was a very questionable person from what he was working on, but I always had the impression that there must have been SOME possibly misguided goal behind it.

NOPE - absolute trash person through and through. Everything he loved was only by extension of self.

The most immediate of humblings, no doubt 😂😭

Taking time off of work for Wind and Truth levels of Cosmere fan here 😅

The cataclysm just HAD TO line up with our boy finally striving for inner peace...I am deeply concerned that he does the Kaladin hero thing, but in a way he can't come back from. Something like getting trapped/tortured on Braize forever to save everybody.

😂😂😂 Can't Unite the realms if ya can't Unite the family

- Dalinar, probably

The dude was such a megalomaniac. Glad his foolish ambitions were put to rest. This is petty, but I'm glad his brother ended up with his wife, too 😂

Kaladin Stormblessed is the only exception to this, for me. Poor guy spends years without time to unpack facing constant misery and living through it while others die.

His true flaw is being unable to cope/trust, so it works that being a badass hero doesn't stop him from needing mental support.

Maaaaan, I saw that coming and it still hurt so bad I actually cried a lil bit ☹️

I was actually yelling, "SAY THE WORDS, DUDE" at my book lol
