It’s really exciting to see Eggers, who is from Lee NH, put his stamp on current auteur filmmaking and bring his New England characteristics to his body of work. He’s worked with theatre colleagues of mine here on the Seacoast and they have nothing but positive things to say about him.

Shout Select has released a restored 4K disc set yesterday (the day after Veterans Day). One of Oliver Stone’s very best films and one of Tom Cruise’s finest hours as a performer. An intense emotional and artistic experience that is important to revisit in our current times.

A nerve-shredding thriller that didn’t get the attention it deserved in the cinema. Tough watching especially after the results of last week’s election but with a cathartic finale. Zoe Kravitz’s ferocious directorial debut.
