I do think there was more certainty in 16-18 given there was no questions around the manager. 23 also kind of felt that it had to be done - they did an unbelievable job, don’t get me wrong, but this summer it feels like there could be a number of stick or twist questions to complicate things.

Feels we are approaching the most pivotal summer since, 2014? Plenty of blame to go around for manager, players and Hughes - but also plenty of optimism for each of them too.
