Group of galaxies of Virgo cluster. The short animation shows the astonishing difference between one of the first images taken with the Vera Rubin Telescope and the corresponding star field taken some twenty years ago with what was then one of the most powerful instruments in the world.

Fellow lawyer friend of mine who does Immigration in #LosAngeles sent this.
#ICE is denying people legal counsel; tear-gassing the lawyers they do allow; tear-gassing small kids.
This is only the beginning; having basically memorized Project 2025, I can assure you, things only get worse. from here.

I spent almost 2 hours painstakingly copying the orbits of all 128 Saturnian moons from the announcement MPEC and reformatting them for visualization...

Behold, here are the orbits of ALL 128 MOONS OF SATURN. This isn't just a moon system—it's a literal asteroid belt around Saturn! 🧪🔭☄️

In occupied France, people would drop their used matches folded into a V, as a secret sign of resistance. People who opposed the Nazis would see them, knew they weren't alone, & felt emboldened to take action.

Some modern day equivalents here--small but powerful actions you can absolutely do:
Thirty lonely but beautiful actions you can take right now which probably won't magically catalyze a mass movement against Trump but that are still wildly important
Why? Because others will see you do them, and it will make it easier for them to take their own (slightly less lonely but equally beautiful) action by your side
