We attended the protest in Duluth, MN along with hundreds of others. It was spirited and raucous with incredible support from drivers who laid on their horns. Three or four MAGAs came by giving us the middle finger salute, gunning their motors and driving dangerously fast (imaginative, eh?)

As you know, this is the Old North Church in Boston which was this evening illuminated not by one lamp or two in its belfry, but by a projected warning.
It might be our salvation that the new tyrant clearly has, like George III, bats in his belfry, too.

Our judiciary and trusted experts such as @hcrichardson.bsky.social and @joycewhitevance.bsky.social have made it clear that the Trump admin can't be permitted to set a precedent like this. If SCOTUS and lower court judges don't win on the basis of the law and the constitution, none of us are safe.

Trump treats our judiciary with sarcasm but also with vicious attacks and stochastic terrorism against any judge who demands that he follow the law. The case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia shows that he won't, despite having sworn an oath to do so. He can't be trusted.
