Doubtful, he must be livid seeing Tesla crash while he’s not able to say some bullshit to pump it up.

he was one of three definite nos on Gaetz, that's why they didn't even try confirming him

lmfao comparing the russian sanctions to fines on a company over US users of the platform is funny to me

whatever man, this whole "debate" is boring and I don't even care that much, I'm for an open internet but I don't even use tiktok.

most of my friends have a vpn service for torrenting... are you a boomer or something? You sound... oblivious..
January 15, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Tiktok isn't a country, they can do their banking in China and their money will be untouchable. The EU isn't going to go along with this stupidity and Trump doesn't even want tiktok banned. Good luck.
January 15, 2025 at 5:48 PM
you say "effort" as if paying for 2 years of nordvpn was hard. The generation that uses tiktok the most is already inundated with vpn ads.
January 15, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Most tiktok users are zoomers and they'll be highly motivated to find a solution. There will be guides out there they'll be able to follow step by step. It's not rocket science. If the ban depends on people being ignorant then the ban itself is idiotic.
January 15, 2025 at 5:44 PM
lol that only happens if you're a dumbass. You can also use the webapp through a vpn. This whole thing is just a stupid idea concocted by people who don't understand the internet.
January 15, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Yeah, if going through the official app store. In android you can easily just sideload the app. In iOS you currently can't but banning tiktok might compel Apple into enabling side loading in the US like it's already forced to do in the EU in order to defend their market share.
January 15, 2025 at 5:38 PM
and how do you fine a company that you forced into no longer having a presence in the US? lol
January 15, 2025 at 5:27 PM
People will just sideload the app and go through a vpn or tor browser with an exit node outside the US.

It's just silly, there's always a way around any wall that gets put up. You'll see...
January 15, 2025 at 5:25 PM
lol, ban tiktok so that people run straight to red book

You can't ban social media platforms in a free society, best you can do is play whack a mole
January 14, 2025 at 1:47 AM
that's only going to facilitate Elon buying the platform. At this point if you're a dem you're hoping it gets taken down and an alternative not in the hands of Meta or Elon surfaces.
January 14, 2025 at 1:29 AM
By being stupid enough not to veto that bill he did. Democrats are unforced error masters. Now Edward Markey and Ro Khanna are asking for an extension lol. That's only going to allow Elon to buy the app while it stays online through the purchase process.
