At the end of the day though, it's like Shiekah said earlier.... If someone says they don't wanna see something, then people should respect their wishes and not keep forcing them to look at it. I'm sure as hell not looking to change minds, I refuse that part of my Mormon Upbrining.

Does it make it better? That's up to everyone to decide for themselves, I also look back at artwork of characters like May or Rikku and go "Yeah, but she's of age now and she's drawn older here, so is this still bad?" And absolutely most or at least some would say yes. But that's for the individual.

When it comes to making fanart of certain characters, be they Persona or Pokemon or "canon high schooler age", people like the characters "design" more than the characters "canon" in certain spots. It's why we see so much artwork of characters EVERYONE knows is under 19, but still make art of them.

Just to be transparent for this, I'm taking what someone else said about this topic and shedding a different light on this and I can totally understand the reasoning behind it:

I hate to say it, but as someone pointed out to me as well... It's not really just a pokemon problem, but an Media problem as a whole. Lest we forget Nowi from Awakening or the cast of Xenoblade 3 as well. I never really thought about Emma's age myself until this, part of why I went to look it up!

So that's actually the funny thing for this, she actually looks the same as Calem and Serena (your PC), or at least the age of the next Trainer rank up from Youngester Joey, compared to someone like Bonnie. Its still 1000% understandable though to think it considering most age ranges in the game
