Go back to x, with all the other marks, freaks, Nazis and losers. Anyone who looks at the biggest conman to come out of NYC since the guy who sold pieces of the Brooklyn bridge to illiterate immigrants and calls him a great leader is a waste of space and my time. C ya

Great leaders 😂😂😂😂
I don’t get into with the cult. 👋🏼

He didn’t avoid a trade war. He created one then folded. So yes, they have failed us consistently by framing Trump and his actions like they are covering a reality show

Oh, I believe headline writers do in fact craft click bait headlines. Read Thom Friedman’s essay he wrote when he left the NYT’s. Headlines mattered less before SM but now if the lie is part of the headline it matters and headline writers should and can do better

Got it

It can be either but the editor will shape the framing of the story, help craft the lead and the overall direction of the story. And if you believe Thom Friedman, which I do, editors there now have a very heavy hand and a desire not to rile up the right.

I didn’t realise there was a free window

You have a v good point here. And I think the headline writers do it for the clicks/reactions. Which would all be fine.. if we were not watching a coup in real time

This this this

I’m a retired journalist who’s worked for some of the biggest news org in the country. I get it. And I appreciate your point but what story you chose to cover and how you write it is important. Journalists can take the side of facts and truths. It is not a warning shot it’s a step closer to a coup

The vice president of the United States is disregarding the role of our judiciary. It is not a warning shot. It’s unconstitutional and a wilful misunderstanding of how our constitution is structured and from a Yale law school grad, to boot. They should start there.

Yes, the NYT does a great job in many areas, especially coverage of the U.K. Just as I go to British media to get a good take on America. But the NYT political coverage of Washington DC is nothing less than a disaster. Journalist should not be dispassionate when it comes to dangerous lies and liars.
February 10, 2025 at 1:39 PM
And with this framing and context, you are helping to deliver the fascist’s warning shot. Do you people even remember what journalism is about?

Avoided a trade war? You mean the fake one he made up? Our media fail us everyday. Feckless, hopeless, useless

If it was a dem the NYeT would have it splashed on its front page
