"you can get books/movies through your local library" and you should! but they're not always gonna be up to date. everyone deserves a right to exist in the present moment. bring yourself into the now by any means necessary. & when/if you can, send a couple bucks directly to the artists you like most

if you have the ability to pay for access to culture and you choose not to because you feel like you shouldn't have to, that's a totally different case. but if the only thing standing between you and culture is a financial barrier, you can and should take matters into your own hands
