I had put off buying The Court of the Dead just in case of an announcement like this because I wanted a copy to match the gorgeous dust jacket you did for The Sun and Star. Glad that I made the correct decision and they’ll be full special editions this time!

I do feel I should mention that it took me almost 3 weeks to watch the 6 episodes, migraines been bad this winter and making tv watching difficult and as such I can’t say if it effected my enjoyment, might have liked it more without all the many pauses I had to do

I do think all the praise the show, actors, show runner, the author etc is getting is deserved. You can tell it’s made by people who are passionate about their craft. I’m also glad the huge success has helped the author get treatment. The show/books are not going to be for everyone and that’s okay

I liked the show for the most part, the main relationship was done very well. I think it’s an important story to tell & it’s given a lot of people hope. I’ve read 4 of the current 6 books, on book 5 rn, they’re mostly ok. I’m a little too asexual for parts of the show/books but that’s a me thing lol

When I was a kid my parents took my sisters and me to the Bronx Zoo all the time and every time we’d stop by the bison exhibit my dad would regale us, plus anyone nearby, with a story on how all wild bison speak with a Bronx accent.

They’re some of my most cherished memories with my dad

Unfortunately I’ve found it’s very common for publishers, especially larger ones, to treat their translated books poorly, even the popular ones. It’s rare for a translated book to get a bad translation/localization fixed which I find quite annoying

And yeah I know one could do it if you have DRM-free books or jailbreak your ereader or whatever but it would be nice if it was just a native feature of services instead of work a user has to put in if they want their digital library to look a little nicer
