A game I still occasionally play, Elite Dangerous, has featured a dim companion to Betelgeuse for a while. I had never considered the game might be accurate so far ahead of the discovery, but the game also successfully predicted the Trappist system before it was made famous...

Depending on the event it's either a packed house or a ghost town. Parking can be sketchy in the neighborhood so I encourage taking a ride share if you do decide to check it out sometime. Their Facebook has all the events and such.
