Kelly wears many hats. She is a 1st-gen daughter of Lao refugees, a PhD candidate in Higher Ed Leadership at TCU and the Co-founder and executive director of DFW Lao Heritage. Like her mother before, Kelly is a cultural conduit of Lao dance, music and culture to Lao American children and youth.

This is an interactive workshop and participants will have a chance to learn some hand gestures and movements used in Lao traditional dance.

When a parent is concerned about a student's grade or test, I share the specific concept(s) the student demonstrated a partial understanding of, and I provide suggestions on how to move forward.

For my former student teachers and colleagues, I often served as a second set of eyes for reading emails and for reading responses to emails. This ensures that teachers don't respond hastily and rashly. This also gives a second opinion on interpreting the tone of emails.
