And the first one is obviously going to exist, no problems with that, but it shouldn't have a place on any publicly-funded university. But it does, and in Poland there are (or used to be) journals treated the same as Science or Nature where you get money for writing that John Paul II was awesome

I'm not quite sure if the distinction works the same as in my native language, but there's theology and there's religious studies. The latter one studies religions which is definitely needed, but it doesn't assume that any of them are true
