A 1990s-themed bar in Covent Garden. Which is a bit like in 1995 going to a 1950s-themed bar.

Now if only they served Hooch or snakebites... (and I'm reasonably sure karaoke wasn't a thing in 1995)

Somehow still standing in the heart of Fitzrovia near the British Museum. Why has this not been replaced yet with some hideously expensive gleaming glass structure for rich shoppers?

The kids today call this #pebbling. Back then we'd call it " #clipping out bits of a magazine to save and maybe send onto friends" in the real world.

#timeout was awesome in the paper era.

Probably not the day to suggest a change on the venerated London Transport / Underground map but ...

It's a short walk between Dalton Kingsland and Dalston Junction station. So why wouldn't there be a handy dotted line to show how you can walk (without rhythm) between them?

It is my considered opinion that the yuzu lemon Jaffa cakes, while an improvement on the traditional orange Jaffa cake, is no substitute for the S-tier that was the lemon/lime Jaffa cake. *Pours one out

Yay. For the privilege of using a social media app like BlueSky, I can either give some random company my credit card or my face scan. Happy happy joy joy.

Come back to the office this summer, they said. We're building a nice garden for people to take their lunch and drink their coffee, they said.

It's so warm/hot in London today that the birds are taking a bath.

It's so cold in my air-conditioned office that I'm drinking a hot cup of coffee to try and stay warm.

Went to see @pattonoswalt.bsky.social in a de-sanctified church in North London. So many great stories. He had the quintessential non-political story that described America and Americans. And the worst gig of his life in London.

this will be a case studie as to why a brand failed but didn't have to fail, all in the name of "efficiency".

People liked #Subway and pay £10 for a glorified sandwich because you could see them assembling the sub.
