fuck what you heard.
yeah, people already got mega mad about her even stepping into the race because he had already charmed enough people into thinking it was his race to win. her dropping out would just solidify that thought.

not a great situation!

God Break Down the Door starting off with a saxophone was such a fucking brain melter when they dropped it as a single ahead of this.

i know someone who always counters people proudly with "I don't watch Fox News", but then i see him sharing shit from like Hodge Twins and Terrence Williams.

i tried one time to have him explain how that's better and he got really upset at me for suggesting they had an incentive to lie to him.

I always used to forget about this album, but when I saw the Pharmacists last year, they played Can't Go Back and it reminded me how good it is. some of his best work honestly!

Given all that, I'd still guess that their relationship started around 2016 after those events (maybe 2017?) and he's just rounding up to a decade. With that math, she was probably 19-20 when she got in a relationship with Olberman. Still a yikes, but a less legally culpable yikes.
November 18, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Yeah, it doesn't really date anything outside of calling it a decade-long entanglement and then the date he found out about Sanford. He does mention helping her through her dad's death (Dec 2015) and that she helped w/ his divorce (also 2015), but I can't find much to corroborate it.
November 18, 2025 at 4:39 PM
oh yeah, I'm just relaying the numbers given that are causing some pause, but I do think the decade thing is a little dubious from Lizza. best I can tell, the first time they were seen together was early 2018, which does line up a bit more with Nuzzi being 20-21 when she started dating Olbermann.
November 18, 2025 at 4:12 PM
well, Olbermann confirmed that they were together for about 4 years. Lizza's post says he was with Nuzzi almost a decade... She is 32, so yeah, the math looks pretty bad for Keith.

McGwire never got more than 25% of the vote during his eligible years, so no, he is not in.
November 17, 2025 at 6:05 PM
yeah, i was being generous with "forget". i can agree that centrist pundits deciding to back him *after* the tattoo is bad, but Platner was/is absolutely not backed by the establishment and it's insane to claim otherwise.

defense of Platner just doesn't break upon clean ideological lines at all.
November 10, 2025 at 5:21 PM
it's so strange to see people forget like a month and a half ago, everyone was mad at the establishment for recruiting Mills to run in this race. but now somehow Platner is the establishment-backed candidate? lol okay.

Since I first saw this, "What you fail to see Mr pope" keeps popping up in my head randomly and makes me laugh.
November 4, 2025 at 10:28 PM
honestly, this is what has been driving me insane about this. the Dem senators being quoted in these stories are saying the Rs are *just coming to the table again* and don't even have an agreement for what the CR looks like *on their own side*, but somehow these Ds already agreed to vote for it?
November 4, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Sure. I'm not absolving him of anything, but this is what he actually said. The last bit of the article saying "the gist" is that Ds are giving 8 votes isn't supported by the rest of the article. Maybe it will happen, but seems unlikely to be agreed on when Rs haven't even agreed on length of CR.
November 4, 2025 at 4:15 AM
I am not even saying that this couldn't happen, but the rest of the article seems to spread what the Rs are willing to offer now that they want to talk with no real sources saying the Ds have agreed to anything.
November 4, 2025 at 2:54 AM
did you even read the article you shared? because it seems like neither you nor Murshed read it.

the mention of the Ds "supplying votes" is not supported anywhere in the article. Coons and Durbin are the only two named Ds and the only thing they said is that Rs seem to be willing to negotiate now.

yes, the Fielder call was incorrect, but it was also the days before they video reviewed these calls.

only thing up to ump's discretion is they have to confirm if the ball is actually lodged. in the Fielder play, the RF plays the ball before it was confirmed. that isn't a thing now w/ video review.
November 1, 2025 at 7:13 PM
if it rattles under the wall, it is not consider lodged and the rule would not apply. Cespedes did that in a presesason game about a decade ago and the batter got an inside the park home run because it clearly was not lodged between the padding and the ground.

both questions were asked on the same poll, so it's weird to say only one result is credible. it informs the pollee that Platner has a "tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol" and asks their preference w/ that info.

a leading question would be the NRSC poll describing it as "an anti-Israel tattoo".

i ran across this a couple years ago when they were floating the beginning of this project, it looks so dope now that it's in place and the greenery is starting to really grow!
October 29, 2025 at 9:52 AM
to be fair, i'm not sure that Nick Folk is built to kick a 62 yard FG either. but probably better to try that than to rely on that O-line.
