Even though Gordon & I are #Mets fans, Skubal should stay w #Tigers. He may play out 2026 in Detroit. Boras as his agent makes it more difficult. But if he's on the trading block we are all in for trading for him & giving up prized assets. A true #1 changes 2026 for the Mets.

Congrats to new #Braves manager Walt Weiss. He's the 49th manager in team history. Um that's in 150 years. Averages a new manager every 3 seasons. With 2 managers in the past 35 years. That seems kind of rough. HOF manager Bobby Cox managed more than 3,850 games!

I'd be lying if I said I stayed up until 3AM EDT it live. Watched #bluejays Vlad Guerrero Jr. score amazing go-ahead run on a mad dash in the 7th. That was before 10:30! I have it recorded and will watch every pitch! #Dodgers Freddie Freeman ended what was an entire 2nd game!

#Bluejays Daulton Varsho had a huge 6th inning HR later followed by Addison Barger's grand slam. But #dodgers biggest problem last night was not being able subdue Alejandro Kirk. He drove Snell nuts!

Jazz Chisholm is a good defender but in big moments, defense matters. Mets fans can tell you this, so can Yankees fans. Two seasons in a row, in their final game, Yankees miscues on defense cost them big time. I wish that were different!

Gone too soon at age 82. #Mets #Reds #Dodgers #Nationals manager Davey Johnson was a man ahead of his time. As a player he was 1 of 3 #Braves who hit 40 homers as teammates in 1973. He should be a future rule B candidate for the HOF.
