Honestly I'd be thrilled to get one of these, I love snow globes in general and I live for kitsch. 😂 What I *really* wanted was the basketball-sized ceramic chicken but I couldn't justify dropping $20 on it...I told myself if it's still there in a month I'll say it's my Christmas present lol.
An extremely round ceramic chicken with an inexplicable blue floral pattern painted on its front. It's about the size of a basketball. And absolute unit, some might say.

Chickadee acrobatics, hungry blue jay, and a downy woodpecker keeping a close eye on challengers for the feeder
A chickadee "perches" at a feeder, its feet on the tray and its butt seated on the feeders wire perch. It's chomping on a seed. An adult blue jay flaps with its beak open, begging the photographer for peanuts as if it's a fledgling jay begging its parents for food. A downy woodpecker clings to a peanut feeder and hunches low as she peeks around the side of the feeder to stare down the other woodpeckers looking for a snack.

Bit of drama happening right now between three downy woodpeckers. Last I saw, one of them wound up at the suet feeder with a little clump of feathers hanging around one foot. Unsure if that bird was the loser or winner of that particular scuffle. 😅 #birds
