I also love how tea often tastes like coffee because they mix up the water and coffee tanks so even when this time they filled with water, you still have a hint of the stale coffee from before.

They changed this to be one or the other (apply or first or second year). Super uncool to change the rules this close to a deadline or not do a multi-year phaseout.

I think there was an inequity a few years ago in that it depended on if you’d been a “full time” grad student for a year or not, and how programs treated summer was the real issue. Some places could apply only their first and some also the second year.
