This week, we have--what else?--more OFMD art! Monimau2000 captured this devastatingly cool look/moment from the finale, and I love it!

Moana, Moana

I remember seeing Moana in the theater the morning before Thanksgiving. After the movie, I left for my parents' house, buying the soundtrack on my way out of town. I listened to it on a loop the whole 3-and-a-half-hour drive (in retrospect, that might've been a clue about the autism)

Very cool MCU Echo artwork from @uzuriart.bsky.social !

Mo Morrison, Lightyear

I was pleasantly surprised with Lightyear, and it was fun to discover some pretty decent figures from it (only fitting, I suppose, since the origins of the movie trace back to Toy Story!) Mo is my favorite--'cause Taika, of course 😄

Joe the Postman, Paddington

Hey, I'd already watched two Paddington movies for Peter Capaldi, and now I revisited one and watched a third for Joel Fry. Both are very cute, although neither film has much in the way of screentime for Joel 1/

I loved the design aesthetic for Namor and Talokan in Wakanda Forever. This awesome Namor art is from @morguedesign.bsky.social

Captain Rex, The Clone Wars

The Clone Wars is a little daunting to me because of its length. I've been making my way through it in spurts, in between other things, but I've definitely gotten into it. I really enjoy getting to know some of the clones, and Rex is my favorite!

Creature, Stitch Head

This is my second time seeing Joel Fry on the big screen (well, it’s an animated film, so “seeing” is relative)—the first was Yesterday, back in the pre-OFMD days. The film is a bit flimsy, feeling long even at 90 minutes, but I still had a good time 1/

That's right, more OFMD artwork--I'm a patron of the arts, what can I say? 😉 I'm obsessed with this *amazing* Gentlebeard piece from @andreacwhite.bsky.social, the light and color is just beautiful!

Wade Wilson, Deadpool

I'm a fight choreography girlie at heart. I love a bit of the old ultraviolence in Kingsman and Kick-Ass, and I love it in Deadpool too. Give me all the guns and blades and Adamantium-skeletons-as-weapons!

Griffin, Diggers

This is an odd little short, more about mood/notion than tangible story. It’s also the shortest one I’ve watched so far, clocking in around six-and-a-half-minutes. Basically, two men walk into the woods to dig a hole, discussing their lives as they work 1/

Most of my Our Flag Means Death fanart collection is Ed and Stede, separately or together, but more recently, I've been getting more crew stuff. Especially Frenchie, obviously! This very cute print is from ylissebian--happy Ace Week! 🖤🤍💜

Yelena Belova, Black Widow

Celebrating Ace Week with my girl Yelena! I loved her as soon as we met her in Black Widow, and I've adored her in every MCU appearance since then. She has my shield and my heart, always 🖤🤍💜

Martin Lowery, In the Earth

This science-meets-religion folklore horror film is wild, and I still don’t know what to make of it. It’s interesting, brutal, and trippy. But I found myself with oodles of affection for the two main characters, and Joel Fry is fantastic in it! 1/

In love with this Wicked artwork from @clakearts.bsky.social --it's my first one with Fiyero in it, and it's so cool! Can't wait until For Good!

Harley Quinn, Birds of Prey

Harley has been great throughout her time in the DC movies, but IMHO she's at her absolute best in Birds of Prey. Love that movie, and love this figure--the *sandwich*, just perfect!
October 13, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Patrick Calder, Haunting of the Queen Mary

I wasn’t a fan of this one. True, I’m not a big horror person in general, but I also think this just isn’t a very good horror movie. Definitely confusing at times, and its construction leaves me feeling disconnected from the characters 1/

Nectrose Freeze, Star Wars (Galaxy's Edge cookbook)

This was my first time making ice cream, and I'm impressed at how well it turned out!

Manolo Sanchez, The Book of Life

In honor of Kiss of the Spider Woman coming out this week, here's a figure from Diego Luna's first musical, The Book of Life! I love this movie, and I love Manolo 🥰

Liam, Bedlam

Since it's October now, I'm gonna turn my focus to the spookier branch of Joel Fry's filmography, the horror/thrillers/supernatural stuff. I’m not quite sold on this BBC supernatural drama, but it’s quite a good guest appearance for Joel 1/

"America" was one of the first songs that sparked my interest in musical theatre. I love this beautiful artwork from TripopStudio of the new film's version!

Claire Temple, The Defenders

Claire! The glue of the Marvel Netflix shows! No matter the series, I was always happy to see her every time she popped up, and I think it's cool that she has a Marvel Legends figure

When I saw Brainy making spinach pancakes on Supergirl, I was intrigued. I was wary, but I wanted to try them at least once. They turned out pretty good! They still taste like pancakes, and there's something Dr. Seussian about eating green breakfast food

Bob, American Sweatshop

Woohoo, it's a *new*-new Joel Fry movie! This is an uneven but compelling film. The world of online content moderators makes for a fascinating setting, although I think the execution isn't as strong as the potential. But I really like Joel Fry's work here! 1/
