Tremendous work, I wept multiple times because I felt so seen by it in all of the wonderfully specific and unique trans women in the book. It is likely the only book I'll read this year, but what a book. I hope that this falls into all the right people's hands.

I am the partner of Beth above, am about halfway through the book. I read about 1 book every 3 - 5 years, and I cracked the spine on this immediately. So far, I have never felt so seen by a book (I grew up in Montana, am your age and came out just before Erica did in the book). Loving it!

This is the movie I've thought most about this year as well, but I am explicitly it's target audience, so I doubt it will be remembered at all come awards season (a story about the trans experience created by a trans person? Who'da thought that's a good idea?!)

Please don't let them nominate Emilia Perez. While I appreciate the maximalist approach, I did not appreciate how it hit every single trope about what it means to be trans.

I did love Anora though.
