My new department is so quiet, I can hear the faint, high pitched hum of my computer’s internal fan & hard drive and I can’t muffle it. If I end up going crazy, this will be why.

So what I thought this little open house to celebrate my dad’s 50th anniversary at his work morphed into a big event with the mayor & chamber of commerce president showing up.
Which is why I’m suddenly ordering new pants & heels from Target 2 hours before it’s time to set up for it.
