I literally finished a craft project last night and already I've thought of another craft I haven't tried that I wanna give a go.

The capybara plush is all done!
It was really fun drafting my own pattern for a stuffed animal, I've never done that before
Now the hard part is waiting for the recipient's bday so I can give it to them! I always want to give gifts as soon as they're ready, I get so excited. 😁

Left is the first prototype, right is the second. I'm pretty happy with the new shape, some minor tweaks and I can make it in the final fabric.

I filled the gaps in the edge of the plywood, sanded, and tried the stain out on one of the shelves.
Turns out, the filler I used isn't as stainable as I thought, so I ended up hand painting some spots to correct it. Thank goodness I'm an artist 😁
So much staining left to go!

I filled the gaps in the edge of the plywood, sanded, and tried the stain out on one of the shelves.
Turns out, the filler I used isn't as stainable as I thought, so I ended up hand painting some spots to correct it. Thank goodness I'm an artist 😁

I finished softening the edge on the second desk!
Also, the stain tests looked great so I finished leveling the 10 shelf legs (I used a hand saw to cut them from a ~6 ft dowel and I did a bad job haha)
After sanding half of the legs to 240, they're getting stained 😄

Day 2 of sanding and I barely sanded anything. There was a lot of tape though!
The tape lets me take a consistent angle off the edge with my orbital sander before fully softening it into a curve, making it more uniform overall.
I also started to test my stain color!

Day 1 of sanding complete, and I have successfully curved the top edge of one of the desks! Only 2 or 3 more grits and a whole 'nother desk to go 😁
