Was thinking the same. Trial measures can be positive - let people experience it and, if needs be, make tweaks as they go. If this is a success I hope DfI and MLAs implement trial measures for active travel/placemaking across the city and beyond.

It’s beyond frustrating. How much did @infrastructure-ni.gov.uk spend on this begging crossing along Stranmillis embankment? “Here, to better support active travel, shouldn’t we at least have a shared use crossing?” “Oh. We don’t do those.” (DfI) “Ummm, trial it?”
