That is absolutely insane. You can see why Nintendo wanted to hold on the Sw1 for so long, but in the end, both gamers and developers needed more power to work with.
I don't see it catching Sony's mysterious "160m+" figure now, however.

Hmm, yeah, it did create artificial difficulty, but likely because it was only 4 hours long.
Ironically, I found the whole thing *soulless*, versus T1's atmosphere and T2's brashness. And T3's soundtrack is a travesty after the first two. I actually hated it. Generic noughties "cinematic" crap 😤

I have Turok 1, 2 and 3 from Limited Run for Switch, and only feel remorse for T3 as it's a truly terrible game 😫

Unfortunately, Star Fox has stagnated since 1997. The games since haven't improved upon it, and Adventures was a reskin of a different game, so doesn't really count.
Starlink feat. Fox was a nice taster for what we could, but probably won't, have.
