I wasn't here when this saga began but I've read your various posts on it. I try to remain grateful for the genealogy resources provided by the church. But every time I see stories like this, I'm reminded that the main goal is to baptize the dead ancestors of others and not genealogical integrity.

It does sound like it. Right now I'm working on a #oneplacestudy of the Mother of Good Counsel convent in Chicago, Illinois. It's Felician and in the early days, mostly Galician, Prussian, and first-generation Wisconsin women. Nice to meet you!
