The allotment association worked extremely hard to get this funding, it is a very challenging application process and over subscribed (I've been involved in another one - Williton Allotments - and it is highly competitive). Fund now closed and hopefully reopening via Community Empowement Bill.

People generally like hearing about the social side of the site too, eg who grew the earliest tomato this year, the swapping/sharing/cooperation, the youngest/oldest plotholder, the sort of stuff that you don’t get with home gardens. I’d definitely include your catnipped cat visitor too!
