I'm sorry, but every time I hear people say "Pepe and Penelope are such a cute couple", I go... "What?" I mean, the cartoons make it very clear that the relationship is one sided and that the cat clearly wants to get away from him. Just saying.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this, but I’ve never been too fond of Mickey’s design in the late 30s. What looked cute in black and white just looks plain creepy to me in three-strip technicolor. I say simply redrawing his eyes made the best difference. I’m sure it’s just me though.
