Another speck of light in the ocean of stars we call life. Bad at social media, but good at being friendly and willing to talk about anything under the sun if I have something worth sharing. Occasionally artistic.
Taking the day off from the news as best I can. Have a screenshot of #EliteDangerous being the best wallpaper generator ever made. o7 commanders. See you in the black.

This should forever be remembered as the ultimate expression of conservatism. Never let them forget, and run on this forever.

It's nice to take some time and indulge in hobbies. Find something you enjoy, find some quiet time, and just do it now and then. It's good for you.

If you want* to read Frederick Douglass's speech "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?"--a clear-eyed yet profoundly hopeful inspection of the gap between U.S. ideals and U.S. reality--you can read it as it was first published at the Internet Archive.

* Yes, you do.

Never forget, the reason U.S. citizens are losing rights fought for and won by their ancestors is that fear and bigotry are a siren song to enough people living among us to permit it.

Yet another "darkest day" in a series of dark days. SCOTUS thinks the Constitution is wrong, for Trump. Again.

Everyone should go outside, take a picture of the gas station they usually fill up at, and put a date on it. Things are about to get very unpleasant.

EXCLUSIVE — The Onion has a full-page ad in today’s NYT featuring part of an editorial calling out congressional fecklessness towards Trump. They also sent a copy of their latest issue to every lawmaker.

To all those people out there that said "both sides" for the last decade, is there enough evidence yet to disprove your prior assumption? It was never true, and if you can at least admit it, when we (in theory) have elections next year. VOTE LEFT. It's the only apology that matters.

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

The guy arguing this is feigning ignorance on behalf of a malevolent administration whose goal is to cause untold harm in defiance of the law while stifling the ability of the parties harmed to stop it. End of story.

So the Trump administration is arguing their birthright citizenship challenge before SCOTUS today, but listening to this, it's even worse than that. They're trying to kill the concept of class-action in the courts so in addition to stripping rights, each harmed person would have to sue individually
