Two hours of snow clearing ought to earn ya something…

Oscar update - we’ve been out to see 4/10 of the Best Picture nominees. Today was The Brutalist. It was really long. It included gratuitous scenes that didn’t add value. It was oblique. I didn’t observe anyone from the sizeable audience who appeared to enjoy it.

Just my own opinion.

I don’t ski myself, but I imagine you all are loving this snow. Enjoy!

Two days in, and it still feels like a holiday from reality. I wrote this song on Nov. 6 and made it public on Jan. 20, for obvious reasons. www.allisterbradley.com/holiday

Cool run this morning. In every way. Good morning!

My buddy Steve Goldberger just published “In A Life”, a dual-focused memoir: a life in music, plus his “Bum Ticker” journal of his adventures with heart health. I’m thrilled for Steve, it was a huge effort to produce this book. AND, it’s peppered with stories from many professional musicians!

Sure is cold lately, but I love a morning run, and not so much on a treadmill. Bundle up out there!

For anyone running outside in these temperatures (or colder!), you might love what a ski mask does to make the run more fun, especially when the snow is blowing.

Wow, -19c with the wind chill - it’s a brisk morning for a run! But as a highland Scotsman once told me, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes”. Enjoyed the run with not an inch of skin exposed to the wind. The ski mask is the best part.

I'm new to DSLR photography, having just picked it up late in 2023. But I love it. I'm hooked. Here's a night sky shot from my first late-night photo session. I've already learned so much from the many mistakes I made that night. LOL.
