It did leave a tiny little scar though, which is kind of cool! But honestly, it was much less worse than I feared a botfly would be, since I’d heard about them before. He was a pretty okay roommate!

I didn’t realize I had it until someone pointed out that it looked like I had an infected mosquito bite and then I could see its breathing tube poking out of my skin when I was showering later that day! I got it squeezed out…it actually popped out of my skin haha. But it wasn’t that painful!
