Last night was the beginning of the San Francisco Writers’ Conference. They invited SF authors to come and sell books during a cocktail reception last night with live classical music. I sold a few books, made some new friends, and enjoyed the event. There were rows of us plus a book store.

Today’s watercolor class subject was citrus for the season and Lunar New Year. Limited time to paint so we move through the lesson. It’s what it can be in the hour and a half.

Today’s haul at the farmers’ market:
Cara Caras, tangelos, and a sackful of mandarins, broccolini, kale, basil, flat leaf parsley, eggs (extra large cost $10 a dozen), avocados (different kinds), dates, ginger, eggplant, cherry tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, bell pepper, green beans, and a shallot.
