Last year, we finally used up the last of the birthday wrapping paper my mom bought for my brother's 13th birthday in 1989 with some of the most cringy 80s sayings on it. No longer is the skateboard bear with RADICAL on it.

OMG this. My company was a high tier sponsor at a trade show and used chatGPT text & images and you can tell it's obviously genAI (except for the few excerpts I did) and we haven't picked up a single customer from it. People deep into genAI don't understand that to consumers, it is cheap & lazy.

There's SEVERAL around where I live, and I find a large amount of joy in seeing how poorly the stainless steel holds up to pollen hell.

My dad downloads cheat engines to play some of the games he buys (Stellar Blade is the most recent one, I think) because he just doesn't have the reaction speed. In a single player game? "Cheat" stuff doesn't hurt anyone and allows those who want to experience games to do so.

100% understandable. My coworkers swear by marketplace, but they must have a higher tolerance for BS than I have now. Either that, or they're the problems, sending those bad faith messages.

My folks tried to sell some of our old furniture on there and it became such an awful experience that they just donated it to a local charity that would come pick it up. Zuck can go straight to hell.
