Been spending yesterday and today testing out ideas for my next book. How plausible do we think dragons are in 1950s Melbourne?

(If you’re my publisher, this is a joke)

Saw a t-shirt that said ‘In a world of roses, be a daisy.’ I cannot figure out what it’s supposed to mean!

Okay, who’s read Sunrise on the Reaping already? I need to talk about it with someone.

Today is my first day off from writing in weeks, so I’m celebrating by… working at my other job. 🤓🤓

Just a reminder that you should never be paying your publisher to publish your work. In case you were wondering.

I am supposed to be editing my book but I also have 22 minutes of my current read to go. Which one should I chose? 🤔🤔

For the last few years, I’ve had a ‘break glass in case of emergency’ TBR, for books I suspect I’m going to love, so I’m saving them. In 2025, I’m going to stop saving them and just devour them all instead. Anyone interested to see what’s on that TBR?

I’m curious! Was your favourite book of 2024 published in 2024 or earlier?

Ended 2024 reading Evenings & Weekends by Oisin McKenna. Now I have to pick my first book of 2025. Any suggestions?

Just want to remind people to be nice to retail workers all the time, but especially in December, as I think back on some of the more outrageous interactions I’ve had with people working in a bookstore. Can’t speak for every retail space but bookstore workers are trying to help as much as they can!

I once again have dragged myself to the gym and I once again am annoyed at how much better I feel afterwards.

The real question of the day is should I finish putting together the furniture in my office (yes) or should I binge read the sapphic romantasy I started yesterday (not no)?

I’m new to BlueSky so I’m pretty sure if you see this, it’s the universe giving you permission to buy a new book. I don’t make the rules. 🤷‍♀️

Today the editing starts on a new manuscript. Coincidentally, I have also completely forgotten how to edit a book. Let’s see how we go today!

If you were going to start a book club today, what’s the first book you’d choose to read? No rules, can be any title.
