Not even two hours after the Senate passed the budget bill, I got a text asking me to donate “to fight back.” Fight back? I am fighting. I’ve never stopped. But I don’t see enough of that same fight from the people in power. (3/?)

I’m watching our democracy unravel in real time and the response from the party I’ve devoted my life to feels weak, tepid, and performative. We are up against a fascist movement. And yet, I see too many Democratic leaders treating this like politics as usual. (2/?)
