I solo camp a lot, so I don't necessarily make lifelong friends ... I'm always holding myself aloof for safety reasons. I do remember two rangers (Ranger Tom Gunther and Ranger Jenn from Redwood) But it was strictly professional interactions.

Driving through Yellowstone. My dad only stopped for us to spend the night in a motel during a horrific thunderstorm. Nobody got any sleep that night. We saw the fluffy cows at least.
