Chuckling at this glow up from initial expression idea to polishing it up with a couple of reference photos of Hayden. I knew there were things that needed fixing, but the contrast between the two amuses me still 😆
Work in progress of an Anakin Skywalker digital portrait painting. This is an early version of the work and the artist's intent is to show some anatomy and other details that still need to be addressed, as well as the lack of likeness to Hayden Christensen, the actor who plays Anakin in the Star Wars movies. The painting is monochromatic where various shades of the same colour are used. In this case, Anakin is lit under a red light reflecting his anguish, as he looks past the viewer almost emotionless. Work in progress of an Anakin Skywalker digital portrait painting. This is a more recent version of the work and the artist's intent is to show the improvement that occurs when using reference to draw something one is not familiar with. The painting is monochromatic where various shades of the same colour are used. In this case, Anakin is lit under a red light reflecting his anguish, as he looks past the viewer. There is now a hint of a tear in one of his eyes.

don't think I'll ever bother learning how to play a moba game, but I am day and night thinking about the character design of Deadlock. This is my favourite game-I-will-never-play, but I can at least open it whenever I want and admire how gorgeous everything's looking so far

lines and flat colour comm samples.. been a difficult month to do any work but I finally got these done whew 😈✨
