I'm a Kentuckian who hates Rand Paul, maybe even more than McConnell. McConnell is definitely evil and has done great harm to the US, but for what it's worth, he is an intelligent villain playing a long game. Paul is just an embarrassment. He's not smart, and his politics are all performative.

Kiki experienced her first snow today. She loves any chance to be outside (on her leash, as I am also a bird lover), but she's not sure about this snow stuff.

I live in the midst of suburban sprawl in a development without enough nature. I have been building a pollinator garden, and have enjoyed the birds and bees and butterflies that it's brought. Hopefully next year, we'll have even less lawn.
