Just a guy hoping his life's little splashes on the Earth will leave behind good ripples.
Tonight's Night Court was fan-fing-tastic! The entire cast. You're a nice addition, Ms Malick. Good stuff.

Doubt I'd ever give a thought to someone's choice to use C or F because I instantly know close enough on either. In life I predominantly use the C scale for work but prefer using Fahrenheit for matters of comfort.

At least things work here, without interference from President Musk.

I would hate having women forced to serve me. My adult daughters were raised to have no problem telling me which way's "up", and I like it this way. Not a fan of them using their "mother" voice on me, though - scary.

Your daughter's fiancée no doubt knows WAY more about USA civics than us already citizens do. Welcome soon-to-be fellow American.

For the first time in seems like forever, I took down the American flag that's been flying on the side of my garage door.

Dear Writer,
First, thank you for your hard work and devotion to the "Ask Amy" column over the past 21 years. More than simply an entertaining read, your answers were often crafted seemingly with intent to convey the uncommon sense that I'd gloss right past.
Second, IT'S BEEN 21 YEARS?

Pay closer attention to the dryer. Your swisher will get jealous and immediately play the "done" tune.

It's ok to get up on the wrong side of the bed once in awhile. Certainly better than climbing out from under it.

To my knowledge you never misrepresent your background nor qualifications. I've also noted that you've always reasonably shown your work so that it can be duplicated.
Your major was merely a step in critical thinking methods. FWIW, 25-30% of engineers work in fields outside their schooling.

I can easily imagine Jesus, today, knocking over podiums whilst proclaiming "den of thieves" at those using hatred to promote controversy. In my mind's scenario, He looks straight into their eyes and shouts, "SHTFU!"

Happy National Transgender Day! Love yourselves - you absolutely deserve it.

It's nice we're having weather, eh? Actually, this is great weather for starting the last week of January.

Damn, and now more know about extended stays. Not sure how anyone didn't know about them.
March 20, 2024 at 1:18 PM
Inspiring. One of the best SOTU speeches we've heard in a long, long time. I'm thinking several presidents ago.
March 8, 2024 at 3:42 AM
The president is damn feisty tonight. I like it, and I was a Repub until 2016.

Saw several Repubs clapping on the border bill. Clearly they're retiring soon.

I know nothing of women's clothing choices but absolutely agree about Amy on Wait Wait.

I saw him clap twice. Hecwas clearly trying to hide it, though.

Once again, context matters.

I hate my cellphone's autoincorrect.

Are there any motorised unicycles? We need a "1-wheeler" controversy.
March 2, 2024 at 4:19 PM
I've always understood "4-wheeler" to be a subgroup of off-road vehicles. In Michigan we get annual ORV stickers for all including snowmobiles and dirt bikes... which we don't call a "2-wheeler" now that I think about it. My Honda owner's manuals simply refer to them as "ATV 4x4" and "ATV 2x4".

I'm Alabama many would probably think you meant "a tv", as in television. BTW, no intent on insulting any of the many brainy Alabamians.

Oh BALLS!
Sorry, just trying to get my bearings on this thread.
