Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar.
This is so horrific. You must somehow stop fascism while you still can. It happened, and therefore it can happen again” [Primo Levi]. The Holocaust didn't happen suddenly, but began with exclusion and dehumanization. Perhaps your only weapon is your humanity and solidarity. Unite, don't fight alone.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

In 1945, Americans liberated us from fascism. But make no mistake: No one is coming to save you. Do not rely on Europe to return the favor. There is no army coming to your rescue. This fight is yours alone.

When an agent like Jonathon Ross can kill a civilian and is protected by the federal government, the Rule of Law is dead. It has been replaced by the Rule of Terror. This is the hallmark of fascism: impunity for the perpetrators, death for the "others."

We were told it was just rhetoric. We were told it was about "security." We looked away when the first groups were targeted, thinking it would not touch us. We were wrong.

A Warning from History
To the people of the United States:
I write this as a German. We know what the death of democracy looks like. It does not happen with a bang; it happens with a whisper, then a shout, then a silence.
