If by register you mean take your name and details and keep records that the eh are legally required to keep for a minimum of 11 years, that is correct. However, unlike NHS England GP practices, there is no guarantee you will receive ongoing NHS funded treatment

Nope. Registration with NHS dentists in England stopped in 2006. Nobody is actually a registered patient of an English NHS dentist. Ability to get NHS dental care is down to a particular practices UDA (funding) availability. Once UDAs are used for that financial year, they HAVE to stop NHS care

In 25 years of practice I have not once had a written reply or phone call from a GP in response to correspondence I have sent about a mutual patient. Not once. Hospitals services mostly ok at this. And having an NHS email is not a ‘framework’ for referrals within the NHS, it’s an email, that’s all
