And it is even more stomach-churning to know how many people see that vileness and feel kinship, rather than revulsion. How many people are perfectly willing to ignore the corruption of institutions designed to keep us safe, and haughtily ridicule those who point it out.

It haunts me how much of the last 15 years has been an endless cycle of the curtains being thrown open on every elite institution, the sheer VOLUME of evil being revealed, all to end with the elite in charge having hissy fits, screaming “fuck you, how dare you notice us and disapprove.”
