I've only ever heard it be referred to as a five book series, never a Trilogy. This post is the first I'm hearing about people thinking it was a trilogy. I would have been so stressed reading OS with that idea!

I could speak to the worst in society (killers, cult leaders, etc) to see how they condone their own behavior, but I wouldn't spend my personal time with them or invite them into my home. Speaking with Trump supporters is like that. If any Trump supporters get deprogrammed in the process, great!

You do remember saying "There's no point in us to ever exchange messages again" right? If you want to keep the conversation going, I'm down. But the second I shared evidence that Trump was a rapist and asked you to examine your biases, you said that Bluesky was more toxic than X. Just let me know!

Enough evidence was presented that both a jury and a judge ruled that a rape had been committed and you're choosing to "interpret" those facts to fit your narrative. I think there's a lot of unexamined bias in your statement. I strongly suggest, a healthy inventory of your own biases 🙂.

You mentioned Trump didn't "rape" anyone, it was "just SA". I shared two articles, where the judge on the case says it is in fact rape, and you moved onto Bill Clinton's presidency and Biden. I don't condone/encourage rape and I think it's really disturbing that so many people in the US do.

If Bill Clinton and Joe Biden were found guilty of rape, then I would never vote for them. Young men everywhere are learning that as long as they can "be good politicians", they can rape as many women as they'd like without consequence. I don't understand how that isn't seen as an issue.

Last thing I'll say is if the defense is "he wasn't found guilty of rape, just sexual assault" and that's the excuse given to voting him in, that's so gross. So rape is bad, but a little bit of sexual assault gets you the presidency? Again, irrational and unreasonable.

There are constructs I can work through on my own and I can sit and come up with excuses a rapist could give for rape. That doesn't mean I need to discuss any of it with the rapist directly or accept them into my circle. That doesn't bring me peace, it brings danger.

If your approach brings you joy, great, keep at it I truly love discussing differing opinions with others when base values are the same. I don't feel like discussing Trumper's mentalities, just like I don't feel like going to a rapist and asking why people should/shouldn't be allowed to rape.

Except that it was proven in court that Trump did in fact rape somebody. He surrounds himself with rapists and has openly admitted to SA. So again, it proves that his voters can't look as facts and evidence, even from his own mouth, as objective, making them irrational and unreasonable.

That's all well and good, but all of the people in one basket, no matter why they voted for a rapist, still voted for him. It may just be my opinion, but rape isn't something I can just set aside because I benefit somehow economically/politically from the rapist. One entire basket condoned rape.
