Hi Alex, thanks for raising this; it’s difficult to say that the uni is ‘facing financial trouble’ because the details and provenance of alleged trouble are being withheld by management. We need much more transparent accounting, given the public implications of 1800 job losses.

We’re still not really seeing it Ben. We have always received a glut of cultural economics papers that we desk reject & that is growing steadily, may be AI/mill submission. I suspect more generalist and tech facing journals are getting it worse because AI subject related stuff is so hot rn
