I don't know how we Canadians are ever going to get over this. The attacks, insults, and disrespect have amply demonstrated the US is no friend, and in fact can't be trusted at all.

You've written the question of the hour, that's for sure. Is Musk on his way to a breakdown of some sort? His X output has gotten way out there - really crazy. It's unbelievable to me that because he's smart in some ways, people give him total leeway. He's a serious menace.

When McConnell had actual power, he enabled Trump over and over and over. He holds a huge responsibility for where we find ourselves. He could have helped make Trump ineligible to run again. McConnell is a traitor to anything but the GOP.

Republicans have carefully and systematically put in their partisan judges. Look at SCOTUS, look at US district judge Kacsmaryk, and many, many more. They are aiding MAGA.

They're just there to give immunity... Republicans were clever, and evil, to appoint many, many partisan judges. Meanwhile ignorant Americans vote in highly partisan judges. Claiming the judiciary was a 1st step in the road to taking over.

Someone help me understand please. The US imports 30% of its aluminum and Canada supplies 23% of that. Won't these American companies need the aluminum regardless? How can this be anything but inflationary?

Wait until everyone sees the price of anything in a can. The US imports 30% of its aluminum, 23% from Canada. So bizarre that Trump thinks raising the cost of aluminum is in the interest of Americans. My TDS is turning into ADS - America Derangement Syndrome.

We're in the midst of the USA's version of the Cultural Revolution. It's repression on a mind-boggling scale. I think we have to redouble our efforts to maintain people's stories, actively look for opportunities to recognize people and the challenges they face, and make a difference. Empathy now!
