Actually, 1.31% FY 23/24 and 1.37% FY 24/25. The sad thing is that big announcements were made when it comes to funding, but national Defence was unable to spend its allotment due to a lack of people or government bureaucracy. Trudeau was very bad for the CAF

Not only the conservative governments.. The liberal governments, to include Trudeau are also to blame. The current state of the Canadian military is completely owned by Trudeau. There was ample time to reverse the underinvestment trend, and he chose not to.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I assure you, we don’t want him back in Carleton
August 2, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Same thing happened here in Carleton during the last election. Bruce Fanjoy ran out of signs and urged residents that supported him to display a Canadian flag in their yards or on their house somewhere. It worked like a charm

3 words: dump the grifter

The CPC gain was likely the result of the lingering effect of the Trudeau government dissatisfaction. The CPC loss was likely a reflection of the distrust of Poilievre as PM. In time, Poilievre will remain a dick, but the Trudeau effect will dissipate. Go ahead CPC, keep Poilievre as leader

Can confirm
May 2, 2025 at 11:21 PM
That’s what he says. I wonder if some in the party think otherwise…. As far as Poilievre remaining the leader
April 29, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Bruce, sincere congratulations for your win last night. We never met, but I hope we will one day. Simple request, and it’s not a high standard, take better care of your constituents than Poilievre did. Looking forward to see all that you can accomplish for Carleton
April 29, 2025 at 1:26 PM
So proud of my Carleton neighbors. We REJECT regressive far right politics, ideology and 3 words slogans. If you want to represent us, don’t align yourself with domestic terrorists
April 29, 2025 at 10:09 AM
He now says anything that might help him win and keep his seat. Pathetic
April 24, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Well, Smith’s government may want it that way. The population may see it another way and may soon get tired of the never ending whining and make believe friction
April 23, 2025 at 1:19 PM
I think that the more Poilievre speaks nonsense, the more Carney’s chance to be the next PM increase. Let him spew his spin, unsubstantiated accusations, 3 words slogans and lies. Won’t help him one bit
April 13, 2025 at 12:18 AM
I want him to lose, but not only lose. I want him to be humiliated, removed from the CPC leadership and remembered as the biggest loser in Canadian political history
April 9, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Yup. Well written. Carney has the support of this household.
April 6, 2025 at 9:28 PM
Yea, this was weird. Almost as if he thought the media was not highlighting the turn out enough, so he took it upon himself to prompt a discussion about crowd size on national media. It is more than weird, it is egotistical, creepy and very much in line with Trumpsim. We are forewarned.

Seems to me that is what happens when all focus is on oil and gas. How many times have we heard that AB should diversify away from O&G….
April 4, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Yes, that’s what I meant, weak politically
March 31, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Why does it mean it can change quickly again? Is Trudeau changing is mind and planning to run? Poilievre has been campaigning without opposition for 2 years. Perhaps Poilievre was never strong, it’s just that Trudeau was very weak. No, I see no logic in this statement.
March 31, 2025 at 12:11 PM
That would be great
March 23, 2025 at 11:09 PM
Oh darn, so close yet so far…. I’m in Carleton, and will have to deal with Poilievre. We will try to kick him out, but sadly, it is considered a safe riding for the PC
