Hello helplessness my old friend in a post-truth world. Real is fake. Right is wrong. Good is evil. Genocide? Self-defense. T-shirt? Threat to national security. Decency? What's that? Resist! Can’t say it out loud? Show, don't tell: it's all about subtext.
SCOTUS blocks Trump's misuses of national guards in Chicago but Kavanaugh expresses doubts despite concurring, affirming how far gone GOP is: "The Court’s legal interpretation, as I understand it, could lead to potentially significant implications for future crises that we cannot now foresee." P. 6.

Trump's administration's "inconvenient truth": misrepresentations in court re the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia involving Costa Rica, African countries & Liberia "reflect that whatever purpose was behind his detention ... was not for the “basic purpose” of timely third-country removal." Latest loss of fascist Trump in weaponizing your tax data for mass deportation: "... Trump the fascist can be frustrated by the rule of law: "The Court finds that the District’s exercise of sovereign powers within its jurisdiction is irreparably harmed by Defendants’ actions in deploying the Guards, and that the balance of equities and public interest weigh in the District’s favor."

Imagine if this 13-year-old in 1994 had a MAGA parent: "Defendant Trump had sexual contact with me at four different parties ... Trump stated that I shouldn't ever say anything if didn't want to disappear like Maria, a 12-year-old female ... and that he was capable of having my whole family killed."

Trump can lie his way to ravage Portland because his 9th Circuit appointees let him. Rebuttal from Clinton-appointed Judge Graber against the "absurd" opinion: "no legal or factual justification supported the order .... It erodes core constitutional principles .... I strenuously dissent." P. 22-23.

Portland is safe for a sec more with 2nd restraining order. Even before that Hegseth dreamt about crushing protests against Trump with brute force. The Department of War never says something like that will NOT happen. Trump keeps saying Portland is a war zone because he will turn the city into one.

Portland safe from Trump: "this country has a longstanding and foundational tradition of resistance to government overreach, especially in the form of military intrusion ... This historical tradition boils down to a simple proposition: this is a nation of Constitutional law, not martial law." P. 30.

Annotation: "Framing [any killing ordered by Trump] as an active armed conflict is likely a way for Trump to justify using more extreme wartime powers – for example killing [those he regards as his enemies] even if they have not posed a violent threat, or detaining [those he dislikes] indefinitely."

Trump can trash you at will, but you can't trash him at all. The Strzok opinion summary doesn't say clearly whether FBI agents can express their opinions about him even if they aren't investigating him, i.e. there's no need to avoid appearance of bias in ongoing investigations against him. See p. 5.

As reported the cult of Trump is caught trying to erase from history a National Institute of Justice report as it finds that far-right attacks dominate extremist violence in the US. The report is in their way of trying to brainwash you to believe that those who challenge their fascism will hurt you.

UN report says Israeli authorities and Israeli security forces have committed and are continuing to commit genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
