Seems like X is cracking down on usernames which they believe impersonate 'real' accounts. So it's because I use Ajax in my handle. Not sure if it's Ajax who filed a complaint or X doing it themselves, though. Haven't heard back from X, so I guess it's permanent and can't be undone.
