Hey I’m new here
Again, not true - please read the article I posted in my previous comment. There are grassroots and gov programs and initiated for finding employment at competitive rates for people living with disabilities. The funding for these programs/initiatives rely on private donation, and the fed (slashed).

Business, business, business - yeah I definitely hear you. Again, profits over people-you. There were govt programs and initiatives in place and in process to make sure businesses wouldn’t lose profits btw, bc that’s so important to you, due to this exact scenario. Guess why they’re being dissolved?

They may not find opportunity otherwise because this *current* admin is discontinuing programs for them to do so. It is, again I say, a failure of our society. They’re only option for work should not be sub-min wage. That is deplorable.
July 11, 2025 at 11:39 PM
They’re not empowering people if they’re not even paying them minimum wage. You’re not winning this discussion, just making yourself seem more like a “soulless brickhead”. Find god.
July 11, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Solutions are available, you just haven’t bothered to look for them. 14c is not the solution we should looking towards. Do more research.
July 11, 2025 at 11:27 PM
The programs that were in place to support folks living with disabilities are being erased - or are you not paying attention to what this admin is doing? And everyone deserves a way to make a living. That’s how a functional, first world society works.
July 11, 2025 at 11:22 PM
They ARE being exploited by being paid BELOW THE FEDERALLY DESIGNATED MINIMUM WAGE FOR LIVING. WHILE LIVING WITH A DISABILITY. Do you understand that? Critical thinking, and heart that beats, that’s all it takes man.
July 11, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Continue to deflect to make your poop opinions seem legitimate. Your opinion is that the gov should continue programs that discriminate against people living with disabilities. Grow up, boomer
July 11, 2025 at 11:09 PM
You are putting profits over people, literally saying businesses should pay disabled only the min wage. Re-evaluate yourself, people like you are the reason are society isn’t better.
July 11, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Soulless, heartless, narrow-minded. Putting business profits over people’s lives and dignity. I bet you’re a big fan of this current administration. There are plenty of solutions that don’t involve an ableist mindset. Again, “hope” you never find yourself severely disabled in future 🤞🤞 brickhead
July 11, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Yes, very aware of what sheltered workshops are. Aware of how Civil Rights commission has been trying hard in the last decade to phase these out as they directly lead to exploitative and discriminatory job environments for folks within. It’s not a solution. I’m done with you, you’re grossing me out
July 11, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Go back and read the article you literally just shared - it says they removed the sub min wage jobs and many folks who lost their jobs due to that were unable to find employment, due to lack of programs specifically for people with disabilities. This is a failure of society, not of those folks.
July 11, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Then that’s a failure of society. “If they want to work or not”, as if every person with/without disability WANTS to work, or is ABLE to, or just deserves to be able to make a living. & The loss in productivity you’re mentioning is absolutely subjective. Hope you never find yourself disabled right 🙄
July 11, 2025 at 8:39 PM
And finally, this article relates to people with disabilities getting let go from nonprofits. They’re allowed to administer sub min wage when they only hire people with disabilities, bc nonprofits for the most part don’t pay their employees? Like did you even read your “research” jfc
July 11, 2025 at 8:25 PM
This shows a failure of the system allowing people with disabilities to make a living for themselves, your article says nothing about their ability to hold down or perform a job. Also, here’s a fact for you: people without disabilities lose their jobs too. Doesn’t mean they get paid less from hire 🥴
July 11, 2025 at 8:22 PM
This isn’t a study to prove your point - this article is saying that when these folks were fired from their previous jobs, they mostly either could not find work, still were able to receive benefits and career counseling through Medicaid (which has now been drastically slashed), or probably died.
July 11, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Well, not everyone person will like (or understand) every piece of art. And that’s fine. This was a beautiful statement by Deacon, IMO.
July 11, 2025 at 8:11 PM
Um, have you heard of the American Disabilities Act? This is literally how public businesses have operated since the 90s. Do you know how many orgs and businesses in this country that this applies to? Also what history are talking about, something you just now made up? Get real you heartless clown
July 11, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Wrong. People living with disabilities still deserve to be able to make a living, and if they’re putting 100% of THEIR productivity into their work, then they deserve the full minimum wage if it’s a min wage job. Shame on you

I didn’t know track and field was a combat sport, then
March 25, 2025 at 8:15 PM
If we are scrutinizing any type of biological advantage in sports, the same rules should apply across the board and not just reserved for women with DSD in women’s sports (this is not just for boxing but all women’s sports, btw). And besides just feeling differently, at least I’m right on this

L O L
March 25, 2025 at 7:30 PM
And does that happen in women’s boxing? lol come on
