The computer migration I'm doing is the closest I'll get to giving birth I think. AMD motherboard chipsets apparently have a bad history with USB issues which is awesome to know now and not before I started transferring everything of mine to and through it

I've seen "Macaque Spirit King" around a few times most likely because of its inclusion in the Wikipedia article but I don't know where "spirit" came from. It seems sourced only from the article itself?

I wholly & lightheartedly disapprove of joking that Xiangliu advocated for or didn't care that MK was basically committing suicide. It can actually be argued that he was the #1 material sponsor of the "Enabling MK To Not Commit Suicide" cause

The scroll of memories comes with a guy to personally psychologically torture you but it's when that guy's down and the memories repeat out of control that the scroll brings Wkng to heel. He didn't need a thorough dissecting, he just needed to have no choice but to remember
Thinkin about Ink Monkey King. Hey man, why is the version of yourself that haunts you the most isn't wearing the torture device, but taking it off and holding onto it? I don't suppose there's anything to unpack there? Just asking

My trouble with writing fanfiction is that I only feel compelled to write about the real low-stakes stuff like Macaque's death, or Mei and MK having a very bad fight. You know– stuff that will show my whole ass on whether I actually get these characters. I'm a coward; I want to keep my stupid covert

I like to think that MK is mostly human because he is a stone monkey that was hatched prematurely by Xiangliu. As in, as a species, stone monkeys (population: 2) go through an embryonic phase of being a human. MK is just a little embryo guy walkin around
