Every time I revisit old code, I’m thankful for my clean code obsession and those design patterns I once overthought. ⚙️

I’ve been reading about IoT devices failing due to the recent AWS outage. Another reminder that local control is a necessity.

With the AWS outage, now‘s as good a time as any to post this old strip.

After having performance issues with Zen Browser (Gecko-based), especially on Google's sites, I looked for something faster, private, and free of AI/crypto/VPN bloat.

Found Helium (helium.computer). Chromium-based, fast, and refreshingly free of nonsense "features".

The more complex a productivity tool gets, the less productive it makes you. At some point you spend more time configuring the tool than actually doing the work.

The battery on my M1 MacBook Air seems to last longer after updating to macOS 26.
